The Lost Symbol - Dan Brown

One of the books my father urged me to read. You will like it if you are the 'Da Vinci Code' reading sort of person. Robert Langdon ( the same geeky guy from Da Vinci code) takes us on an incredible adventure again, this time across Washington DC. I would have never known so much history existed in the capital of United States of America.

Dan Brown talks about Freemasonry and Neotic Science in detail. The crux of the book is to understand spirituality in a scientific manner. Okie, I already see people giving the raised eyebrow look. :) Thankfully he delivers very well in a fast paced, nail biting story line.

Fast read!

Hahahaha, I dont trust those "fast read" books. Since my first and last Dan Brown, Angels and Demon, never touch any of his book again. He thrives on sensationalism. Not much beef but more on thrills. Well, he is a thriller writer after all.

Talk about globalization. I mean not in the classical sense of that theory but it is fascinating that you are THERE and I am HER and we have been suggested to read the same book !!!! Ok, I will admit D.C. is about half an hour ride from where I live so now you know where I live!!!

But on another note, I think when I get the strength I will get to reading that book. D.C. is interesting to say the least and the history inside of it is brewing with mystery. Enjoy the read!

Ohhh so you liked it?
Then i got to give it a try, actually I am a Dan Brown fan, i have read all his prev. books and loved them and i ordered his one as soon as it was out, but then one reason it was so heavy and another no one else recommended it and no high reviews i have been post-ponding it till now, ya another reason is that too that in between i started with twilight series and was lost in Vampire world at an extend not to care about lost symbols... hehehe

Ok so it will be next, as soon as i am out dizziness of Vampire world full of hopeless romance, i will take it from the rack, clean the dust, and go for it :)

Pinay, agreed! things are quite beyond reality! but atleast I like that the book involves lot of facts..for instance the details about DC

Efrutik, what is your Dutch connection? I am curious now..yes, being close to the place you will definitely find the book very interesting..some amazing stuff, though the very last few pages can be a bit testing..go for it anyways..:)

Tami, hey thanks for visiting my blog..such a co-incidence! maybe fathers think alike!

Lopa, haha! lol! I know exactly how you feel! I have read all the four books...and the first two books were maggical! :) Well, knowing your reading abilities I am sure you just need to put effort into reading first 20 pages...the rest 400 or so the book will pull you through! :D

While I didn't enjoy this one as much as some of his other books, it wasn't a bad read at all.

I could not put down "the digital fortress" once i started reading it. It was def fast paced, so much for all the other Dan Brown books. I also liked the Da Vinci code, despite the hype around it, the book was a great read. Thanks for sharing this. Havent had a chance to read this one

I got it for Christmas but have not had time to sit down and read it yet. I want to though. I enjoyed the rest of his books.

mub, Agreed! exactly my feeling. Much better than a lot of crao that I have read.

Orangesplaash, I have read digital fortress too. But I must say Da Vinci code was my favorite. I had no clue sooo many mysteries were wrapped into one painting!

Invader Stu, Hope you enjoy your read! :)

Ohh I'd also put it as "fast read", too. My problem is that with this kind of books I prefer to wait for the film, really! But I guess it might be a good read for a flight or something like that.
